Our stop in Athens

So day 4 of our cruise was our big tour of Athens which was 6 hours and we went to the first modern day Olympic arena which supposedly held 50,000 people which was hard to believe! We then went to the most iconic ruins being the Acropolis and what an amazing sight it is. The amphitheatre recently had the foo fighters play there - how awesome that would have been. The crowds were intense and this wasn’t even peak tourist season! From there we went into Plaka where the old town is and plenty of shopping which was great. Had our first gyros and sure it won’t be our last.
