European Adventure Tim & Rach Aug/Sept 2018

We set off from Venice and went past the St Marks square all of beautiful Venice and then sailed through the night and arrived at Dubrovnik at 1.00pm after spending the morning sunning it up on the deck. We went for a game of thrones tour around Dubrovnik and saw where they filmed many of the scenes - what a beautiful place it is! Back on the ship we saw the Band on the run show in Stardust theatre and then headed to the Bliss bar for the 80's night.

We docked in the bay of Kotor Montenegro and had to get the tenders to shore and today we had a tuk tuk tour of the town and to a luxury mariner which was built in 2013 with amazing luxury yachts like a mini Monaco. Such a beautiful bay with mountains all around. We headed out leaving Gkotor at 5.00pm and we went to see the magic show in the Stardust theatre and back to the bliss bar. Day 3 we arrived at Olympia at 12.00 pm and decided not to do a tour and just check out the port area and spend some time in the ship by the pool working on our tans.

We checked out of the Hotel Plaza at 10.00am after a fantastic stay in Nice such a great hotel and awesome location absolutely loved it. So got a cab from our hotel which was 10 mins from the airport   and it cost us 36 euros OMG!! Then we got on our Easyjet flight to Venice which was only an hour which was great and got a taxi from the airport to our Hotel AC hotel Marriott and that cost us 40 euros for a 15 minute journey - unbelievable - highway robbery!!! Caught the water bus into St Marks square and had another look around and a shop. We were amazed when we saw a cruise ship go past St Marks square - hopefully we go past on our cruise.

Off we went early morning to catch the train to Monaco only 15 minutes away from Nice. When we got off the train the train station was beautiful and when we came out we headed where we thought the main Marina was but we ended up at Port De fontvieille so had a look around there but then got direction to the main port Marina called La Conda Mine. Wow,wow,wow - took your breathe away all the luxury boats. From here we got on the hop on hop off bus and saw the sites of Monaco - beautiful. We got off the bus at the Place de Palais which was on the top of the hill which overlooked the Port hercule - what a view!! We managed to get Tim a couple of souvenir shirts and a hat that cost 40 euro - apparentley genuine formula one red bull hat!! We then headed back to Nice on a train with no air con and packed to the brim on a hat day - not a "Nice" journey home to Nice. That night we went to Buffalo Grill for dinner - burger for Tim and Ribs for me yummy!! Ended our last night in Nice st...

So we were up early this morning and put our walking shoes on and had a walk to the port along the foreshore. So beautiful Nice is and down at the port were some amazing boats - oh how the other half live!! We then went and had some brekki which was pretty small but nice in the square where they have the fresh food markets and then we headed over to the Hop on Hop off bus. It took us all around Nice and showed us the sights. Off to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner tonight.
